Ford Vs Ford

During an area blackout a few days before new years eve 2009 I was traveling west on a local road and was struck by a Ford utility van in an unmarked intersection. It seems my self and the other driver found the only major intersection in town with out temporary traffic signs marking where traffic signals usually would. My F-150 was struck in the right front side and was redirected from due west to due south and the van found itself resting between it’s left front tire in my lower right windshield and a utility pole. The entire front of each vehicle was destroyed and both myself and the other driver seemed to be ok. I walked away from my truck and was assisting in helping the other driver out before I was taken to the hospital on a backboard for routine examination. I ended up with a concussion and minor cuts and bruises and was released. The F-150 however was totaled. The cab sustained only glass damage and the center console was wiped out by I believe, my arm (I’m not that small of a guy). The air bag did not deploy, I assume because of the angle of the impact and the seat belt left some nice bruises, good thing I was wearing it. However with the impact as bad as it was on the right side, the passenger door still opened with ease and the engine turned over and ran enough to pull the truck in and out of the garage of the body shop, Amazing. If my family had been with me they would have been fine and I walked away to tell the story. I do think if I had been behind the wheel of another truck I might have a much different story to tell. I have to hand it to Ford to have two of there vehicles meet in such an unpleasant way and have the driver end up so happy. Thank you
