My husband’s father, Johnny Rayborn, Sr. told his children that if they bought anything other than a Ford Truck, they couldn’t park it in his yard. While it was said in “jest,” he meant every word of it; because in his farming days his farm trucks were Fords. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy and love for Ford Trucks lives on with his sons.
Thanksgiving 2009, several of his children traveled back to McComb, MS for a family visit and thus the making of this story.
Four of his seven sons own Ford trucks, F-150s to be exact. They have each owned multiple Ford trucks and/or utility vehicles over the years. The view in the yard quickly started to look like a F-150 Convention. What a nostalgic site to see the F-150s converge at the home of their parents. Since their parents, Johnny and Patsy Rayborn are both deceased, every visit is nostalgic and somehow seeing my husband, Bobby and his brothers arrive in their trucks caused me to remember the story that he had previously shared about his father’s love for Ford trucks.
It was a sight to behold and the picture does not quite do it justice. As you can see, they have all been good little boys and stayed true to their father’s love for them and Ford. This picture gives a whole new meaning to the 1920’s Ford slogan “Pride of ownership.”

My father used to be a GM man, but now I am a Ford man, due to Ford's impressive run as of late. The sense of community that the Ford family embraces, and their visionary efforts to move ahead under diffucult cirtcumstances is to be applauded, I think my father would agree. I think if my father was here we drive idenical trucks. Merry Christmas.

The versality of this vechicle is phenominal!!/ I loaned it to a friend twice because he had to get to work and his car broke down.
