The 2010 Taurus has been up and down the California coast, but made stops for bloggers in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
On Sunday, August 16, Ford vice president and treasurer, Neil Schloss, met with bloggers for a tweet up and test-drive in Los Angeles. Blogger co-hosts Brandy Schaffels and Jason Fogelson were joined by other bloggers, Ford fans and @LaughTech, an LA Fiesta agent. Check out the photos from the event in our Flickr gallery.
Everyone had a great time at the tweet up – especially those who took the 2010 Taurus SHO out on the freeway. On a few of the test drives, our bloggers were stopped at intersections to ask what they were driving. Examiner blogger, Jim Cherry, attributed this to the Taurus’s head-turning design.
The next day, Brandy, Jim and another blogger, Nick Vart, came to the Petersen Automotive Museum and were able to chat with Ford President, Mark Fields. Watch the video below.
Later in the week, the Summer of Taurus tour continued to San Francisco where Sue Cischke, Ford group vice president of sustainability, safety, and environment engineering, attended a tweet up at Daffodil, an organic restaurant at the LEED-certified Orchard Hotel. Cat Lincoln, a blogger from Green Daily, co-hosted the event which included a number of bloggers interested in hearing more about Ford’s commitment to sustainability. You’ll find photos from this event in our Flickr gallery.
San Francisco’s steep hills made for fun test-drives in the 2010 Taurus. Blogger Glennia Campbell has a family history with Ford and the new Taurus brought her down memory lane.
All of our bloggers reviewed the Taurus after they finished driving. Check out the video below.
