I want to volunteer to drive a Ford electric car. I teach at Clemson University and live in Clemson so an electric car would be perfect for me. As I park on campus and drive around town, I could make others aware of Ford's electric car. I currently drive an Escape Hybrid (3 years old) and love it!

Agreed. I'm the proud owner of a 2010 Mariner hybrid, and I really like it. I would have bought the Milan, but I live alone and need one vehicle - the Milan/Fusion hybrid trunk is smaller than standard AND the rear seats don't fold down. Bad move - the same mistakes Toyota and Honda made with their retrofitted hybrid sedans. Of course, being 6'4", the SUV fits me more comfortably than a sedan.

Even better, if there was a hybrid Edge, I would have bought that. It would be more comfortable to sit in like the Escape hybrid, would not have significantly sacrificed cargo space like the Fusion hybrid, and would most likely fit right between the two in EPA ratings, given it's sleeker profile compared to the Escape hybrid.

I want Ford to build a small truck like the Ranger with front wheel drive train like the New ford Fusion Hybrid or diesel powered. We need a small truck that gets 30+ mpg. In all my years of driving (80 miles aday To work) In Kansas winter wearther I yet needed a 4 wheel drive auto. Front wheel drive dose the trick for me.

All I have ever owned were Ford products. Last year I wanted to replace my 1994 Crown Vic, but did not know with what, except that I wanted to be more "green" this time, until the press including auto magazines began giving rave reviews on the 2010 Fusion/Milan twins last Fall. At the Chicago Auto Show I saw them both, but they were locked up. I wanted the Milan Hybrid as I believed it looked better and was a better value. I ordered a 2010 Milan Hybrid end of February, even though they were not available for test drive. I took delivery May 5, 2009. It has been almost six months, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with the Milan Hybrid. It is an exceptional car, fun to drive, lots of pep, handles well, lots of great standard features and options, and I could go on and on. I don't know why FoMoCo doesn't advertise Milan and Milan Hybrid. It is the best car I have every owned. And whatever good press and awards, including maybe Motor Trend's COTY award, that are showered on Fusion, Milan can bask in the limelight as well. I am glad there is more than just me who is a very satisfied Milan owner.

I realize that this is a Ford site and that you're talking about the Fusion, but I couldn't help wondering if your interest might extend to Mercury Milan owners. In June I traded a mint-condition, 3-year-old Toyota in on a 2010 Milan and couldn't be happier. It's an amazing car: extremely good-looking, all the power that I want and need (2.5 liter w/ 6-spd auto), excellent fuel economy (never given back less than 30MPG in combined city/highway driving), and given the number of standard features, it has to be the automotive bargain of the decade. Whether you include the Milan in your recent efforts or not is up to you, of course, but you can categorize me as one very, VERY satisfied customer. I've been a FoMoCo fan since my early teens, and after being disappointed by the quality of a string of Buicks, and bored to tears with a string of Toyotas, I'm really glad that I'm now in a Milan. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Fusion Hybrid wins Motor Trend's COTY award for 2010.

I own an '08 Fusion SE V-6 AWD I was talked into this car by a very good sales person at the Ford Dealership. I have always had a Ford in my driveway since my first car in 1978. Over the years I have owned 10 Fords. My wife, son and I went on a day trip last weekend to the mountains. We live at about sea level and the pass we went over was over 8,000 ft. We traveled approx. 250 miles and averaged an impressing 26 MPG. That is only the beganning of the story. Once we arrived at the Blue Lakes (By Lake Tahoe) we wanted to check out the upper and lower lakes. There was only pavement on 4 miles of the 14 round trip we drove. To add to this there were hills that had some washouts and a lot of loose gravel. We came across a couple of 4 wheelers that could not beleive that we had made it all the way back in a car. They were very impressed. The car did extremely well in all the differant terrain and only slipped once going over a large amout of uneven gravel that was on an up hill slope. We never lost traction nor did our wheels ever slip more than that one time. We are totally sold on the vehicle and my wife who drives a '07 Expedition 4WD wants to trade it in for a Fusion with a sunroof. All the stuff I have taken over the years from other people because I have always went with Ford well they can kiss this. Thank you for your time and for the Fusion.

Bryan, me too. Ford of Euorpe has great diesel engine in cars that are fund to drive. The Mondeo, in particular, would be a great asset here with it's German style handling, fit and finish and the PSA DW 12 2.7 engine that produces 172 hp and a whopping 295 ft pds of torque.

VW was able to meet our emissions, Mercedes and BMW do as well. Surely Ford can. I've driven modern diesels in Europe and love'em. We need more than hybrids and electric. Clean and quiet diesel is not an oxymoron anymore.
