I just wanted to say that I really love my 2009 Ford Focus SEL. I feel safe in it and it has a lot of neat technology. Thank you, Ford for making nice, reliable, safe vehicles. My first car was a 1999 Ford Taurus SE and ever since then I was really hooked.

I owned a 2006 Focus up untill Monday Aug 11 2009 my son was driving and was involved in a serious accident on the fwy here in ca, basically the car saved his life, it rolled 2-3 times and he walked away with only 2 tiny scratches on his arm's.
No major injuries at all...
I will be buying another Focus, and would recommend this car to anyone...
Thank you Ford for making such a safe car!!!

Phyllis - In response to your questions. Recharging a plug-in hybrid could cost less than a dollar assuming a 7kWhr charge at 12 cents per kWhr - for a battery electric vehicle the cost at the same price - assuming a 30kWhr battery might run around $3.50 - Plug-ins could be charged on 120 volts,,needing about 6 hours of charge time.,.while BEVS would need 220 V to charge in under 8 hours. For 120 V - it could be a standard outlet- the 220V charging may require a specific plug to be installed. Plug-in venicles will run even if the vehicle is not charged, as long as there is gasoline in the tank for the internal combustion engine that delivers the extended range. Pure battery electric vehicles must be charged after their battery is depleted. Hope that answers your questions. Regards, Jennifer Moore

I want to know the cost of recharging an electric and hybred car. What is the voltage needed? Do they require special outlets to plug into or can you use a standard outlet? Do you have any cut sheets explaining voltage requirements, voltage usage and approximatly how long would I have to plug in if I were traveling longer than the recomended distance?
