owned new pinto, gran torino, f150xl, bronco II, f150 xlt, and f150 stx and owned used mustang mach1,maverick 6cyl hurst, edition, galaxie 500, and f150 xl, . And liked all for their own ability to survive some hard driving with little maintenance. Suggested Ford for my friends and kids. Owned 1 new chevy, it didn't make 50K miles without tons of troubles. owned a few used and all had troubles. owned 3 chrysler- dodges, one was a good car. Believe me I'll drive a ford first, as long as they are affordable. Looking for a new ford f250 4x4 now!

I saw a Ma & Pa Kettle movie yesterday and they were chasing a train, driving a Model A. I will give you 3 guesses as to who won the race. Found On Road, Driven! Ford always wins even if there is no race. Sorry, all you other lesser cars, if ya ain't got it, then ya ain't got it.

if you are looking for "go fast" on the cheap it's hard to beat my 5.0 five speed mustang w/factory handling package. if you go 65 mph on cruise w/a/c on you can still get a no B.S. 32 mpg. i have done it. and a 150 mph on pump gas ain't bad either.

Why North American Ford's vehicles have suffered so dearly while Ford Europe has enjoyed decade upon decade of quality, class-leading vehicles is an anathema to me. The Sierra, Taunus (yes, Taunus, not Taurus), and Mondeo have been respected European motoring staples, like a Chicago native receiving straight "A" grades in French, but failing English.

It's good to see North American Ford begin to Flex its muscles again to produce the vehicles the marketplace and Ford's reputation deserve.

For the record, the only Ford I have ever driven is the German Ford Sierra--that's right--the GERMAN FORD SIERRA!! It was incredibly hot for a midsize sedan. I had to keep checking my speedometer when driving the Autobahn or Autostrada to keep the car under 200 kph. Someone will probably correct my math but I think that works out to about 120 mph. If I didn't keep a part eye on the speedometer the car would run away from me. It seemed like it wanted to go fast. A great car.

I love watching old TV shows and movies just to watch for old cars, especially the early Econolines. Unfortunately, they were usually driven by the bad guys.
