Automakers have been cutting back on car shows as they seek to trim their budgets during the difficult economy. General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC scaled back their presence at the L.A. show, where they unveiled no new cars and held no briefings.

Where is the new Eco-boost turbo V6? I want it in the NON-Sport version - I Don't like the black grille or the 22 inch wheels on the '11 Sport. Give me the chrome semi-split 20's, chrome grill, touring suspension, turbo, keep it around $37K and it's in my garage. Go Ford!

Is the 2011 any lighter than the heavy 2010 model? Also, are there any plans for a 7 seat version to compete with the Mazda CX9 and GM Crossovers - or are you banking on the boxy Flex or the 2011 Explorer to fill this niche?

I have a 2007 Edge leased new in January 2007. It now has 85,000 KM and I have had no maintainance except scheduled maintainance. It is a quality vehicle, very comfortable and handles well. We are on our 4th trip to Florida with our Edge and in my opinion it is the best vehicle I have ever driven. I will definitely purchase another Edge when my lease is up.

I just had a few opinions for this design as well as some other current Ford cars and trucks. There seems to be a tendency these days for Ford to shrink their lights. Simply put, the tail lights on the new F-150, Focus, and the headlights on this Edge look too small and out of proportion with the body. I know the current Focus is on the way out, but there is a HUGE amount of blank space in the trunk area. It gives the car a imbalanced look.

The Edge above has a bit too much open space between the edge of the grill and lights area and the corner of the bumper/fender area. I think adding just a little trim in the area would break up the space just a bit.
