I am guessing that most Mustang owners are performance oriented ... but I believe there are folke that would like a 60 mpg(US) combined Mustang.

I'm betting there are potential buyers out ther that want a classy vehicle ... with extremely high fuel economy say ABOVE 60 mpg combined and 70 mpg HIGHWAY!

Could it even be possible?

Maybe ... provided ... the Mustang is similar in weight to the EU Focus!

How about the EU Focus 1.6 Duratorq TDCi (109PS) diesel 5 Door Saloon (ECO Start-Stop) M5 transmission 62 mpg(US) combined and 69 mpg highway ... maybe ADD a DCT for an extra 2 mpg combined? You can check the Ford UK site for confirmation.

You folks will have to decide whether you want torque and fuel economy ... OR ... hp and acceleration.

Maybe Ford will give US the choice of BOTH!! We can only hope ....

Getting me a 2011 just ordered the V6 Pony package May 22nd. This will be Mustang number 3. Have a 2000 and a 2007 Pony both with V6 engines. On open road i get 34 MPG out of both the 2000 and 2007. Both are automatics the 2011 I am going back to a stick. With each new model year the technology just keeps getting better and better. I am now totally convinced Ford has the leading edge

I wish they'd change the tail lights. The 2008 style looked much better.

I will buy one of these nice new Mustangs, preferably a GT model when they decide to put a little chrome on them instead of blacking everything out. C'mon guys, I am older and want a little chrome! Then I can sell the Harley and go with a Mustang.

The reason hybrids work better in the city is because the battery will carry it for a short while. My friend got a hybrid and said that if he only drives 30mph he can go 30 miles on battery. It's kind of funny because he got a Chevy Tahoe hybrid (still only got average 23mpg, lol) and the hybrid tech was messing up his transmission. Last Chevy he ever bought!

It is my intention to purchase a new 2011 Mustang Premium V-6 3.7 Ltr. 305 H.P. and I will order as soon as I am convinced when the new performance package will be available - Iv'e been getting mixed answers anywhere from earely spring to mid or late summer - Why isin't this known?? also I want to include the Mustang Club Package, however, I would definitely want the 19" wheels that comes with the performance pkg. rather than the 18" wheels with the mustang club pkg. would this be feasable if I order both packagees?? Thanx
