my wife and I have had our truck for about three years, however it now has 70,000 miles on and within the past month we have made three round trips (740 mi one way) to Texas to visit my mother who was hospitalized. Our truck kept my wife, daughter, and my two dogs safe as we drove down there for the last time on Christmas day of 2009. Once we got through Amarillo the roads were really icy and snow packed. As we drove further and further into the heart of Texas, it got worse, however as we began to run about 1/4 of a tanks, the highways were stopped due to vehicle accidents galore. Thanks to the truck, we were able to lead a different path for many folks which involved us going through and over snow banks that I know had I had been in a car or a 2wd vehicle we would not have made it, but thanks to the truck, it’s weight, we were able to lead a group of vehicles to a nearby gas station and get them around the accident. I will and always have trusted Ford vehicles, as a matter of fact every vehicle my wife and I had purchased has been a ford.
