I Love My 2001 Ranger.

First off, I never thought I would own a truck, not to mention a ford. But, when I was car shopping, one of my co-workers told me about his 2001 ranger. Not being interested at first, I said thanks but no. A few days later, I asked him about it, and he told me more about it. It had 205K on it. I was very skeptical of the high mileage, but what the heck, and gave it a test drive. It ran perfectly, not to mention the amazing looks. A few days later, I went and picked it up.

That was over a year ago, and I am still in love with my first Ford. It has over 230K on it, and only had to have the belt, alternator, and a pulley replaced, easy stuff. I’ve done some mods since, fog lights, tinted the front windows to match the back, corner lights, taillights.

This truck is a dream come true, and it always feels like a gift to drive it. =]

I think I know how you feel. I still have my new 1996 Ranger and I still love it. It's fourteen years and 180k miles now and it's not showing any signs of wearing out yet. It was my first new Ford and it made me into a Ford man. Now I have a 1964 Falcon Sprint for a fun car and an 07 Fusion for my wife. I love my Fords. Reply

My cousin has a similar story. In 1989 he bought a base model 4cyl two wheel drive ranger with the minimum options. Today that Ranger has over 400,000K and he has only changed the battery and oil, and belts. He still talks about "I'll by my second new vehicle when this one wears out". He absoutely loves it. Reply

I bought a '95 Ranger 4 cyl. 5 sp manual new and still drive it every day. It has 320K mi. on it and runs great. It was the first Ford I'd ever had, and convinced me to buy another Ford. We now have two Rangers, Exped., & '06 F-150. The F-150 is the best riding, quietest vehicle (car or truck) I've ever been in. I will continue to only buy Fords as long as they are as reliable as the four I have now. Reply

I have had two Rangers and I love them both. My first was a 1996, 3.0 V6, auto, extra cab, when I sold it, it had 218,000 miles. I would have kept it, but in 2003 Ford was offering the Rangers for 6 years 0% interest, so I jumped on the oppurtunity. Now my 2003 Ranger has 176,000 miles on it. Both the 96 and 03 never had any problems, and my 03 runs brand new and looks brand new. My next truck will eithe rbe another Ranger or an F-150. My wife and I have owned many Fords and we have never had any problems with them. My Wife's Escape has 156,000 miles with no problems either. Go FORD! Reply

I can understand what you mean I bought my 95 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3L 4 cyl dual plug. In feb of 2007 she had 242 000 Miles on her. I have driven her all over Texas never has she failed me, the only time she hasn't started in three years was when I left the lights on. She now has 257 000 Miles on her and she is still counting. My fiancee uses her to work he instals cable in Houston Texas so she is on the road for about 12 to 14 Hours a day, then I take her to my security job. As a previous S10 Owner I say these trucks by far are the best ever. I bought my " black Betty" from the adoption agency that handled my sons adoption when I gave him up. She means the world to me. I will never buy another brand but Ford again. I turned it into a harley davidson editon. And i still get close to 26MPG highway. Reply
