5 Year Old Buyer To 16 Year Old Drive
By
Tom N.

In April 1998 I went to the dealer to buy a 4 door Escort built at the assembly plant in Wayne. I let my 5 year old son pick out the color. When the car arrived he went with me to pick it up. I had no thought then that 10 years later, in 2008, he would become the driver of that very same car. It has 206,000+ miles on it and we both love it. It is our favorite vehicle and I have 2 other vehicles that are 2005 models. Maybe when the time comes to replace the Escort I’ll let him pick the color again. Maybe by then he can pay for it too.
