Ford Taurus Takes Center Stage During Recent Steve Harvey Morning Show Live Broadcast

There’s no denying that the 2010 Ford Taurus is causing a stir. From appearances on Martha Stewart to shoutouts from celebrities such as Car Customizer Funkmaster Flex and pop icon Fonzworth Bentley, the Taurus continues to catch buzz – and catch it in a major way.

Most recently, the vehicle took center stage during a live broadcast of The Steve Harvey Morning Show held at the Motor City Casino in Detroit. The event provided an opportunity for Ford to shine a spotlight on one of its newest vehicles as well as highlight some of the African American executives helping to move the company forward.

Felicia Fields, Group Vice President of Human Resources; Earl Lucas, Lead Exterior Design Manager for the 2010 Taurus; and Crystal Worthem, Multicultural Marketing Manager for Ford, all conducted live interviews on the show.

In addition to the interviews, Ford provided the chance for audience members to interact with The Steve Harvey Morning Show team by playing an interactive game tied to the vehicle and its 10 class-exclusive features.

The broadcast was a part of the Faces of Ford interview series. The series, which launched on the show in late August, was an opportunity for the company to introduce some of the African American executives, designers and plant managers who are behind the scenes at Ford helping to create the Ford that you are seeing today and the Ford that you will see tomorrow.

Past guests on the show include Bennie Fowler, Group Vice President, Global Quality;  Tony Brown, Group Vice President, Global Purchasing; Pam Alexander, Director of Community Development, Ford Motor Company Fund;  John Viera, Director, Sustainable Business Strategies for Ford Motor Company; and Frederiek Toney, Vice President, Ford Customer Service Division.

I have the new Taurus and it's beyond awesome. I just cruise a lot after work 'cause I don't want to park it. The stereo is fantastic, and the select shift system is so much fun it's addictive. This is one gorgeous car. Reply
