The Wedding Road Trip Rolls Through Dearborn and Pays Us a Visit

Jaime Case and Chris Hodges continue their coast-to-coast wedding reception, making a stop to visit Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.

Among kumbaya moments like absorbing the atmosphere in Scott Monty’s office and touring the Dearborn Truck Plant, Jaime and Chris ask what will become of Roxy – the 2010 Ford Fusion they’re using for this journey – when they’re done with her? You’ll have to go to the Wedding Road Trip blog to read the rest of this story …

 What is Wedding Road Trip?

Instead of asking guests to attend their wedding reception, Jaime and Chris hit the road to see them! In their hometowns, and often in their living rooms! In addition to spending more quality time with each person they visit, they also wanted to avoid spending a huge chunk of change on what would have been one day. Why not spread it out over six weeks, spend lots of time with the people important in their lives and enjoy the drive in between?

So they made a plan, mapped out the 250 people that they’d like to visit, borrowed a 2010 Ford Fusion and set out on the journey.

Officially, the wedding road trip is a pre-wedding road trip around the country to see friends and family prior to signing a marriage certificate. This trip focuses on learning more about marriage and the commitment therein.

I was a ford mechanic in the late 40s after WWII. I retired from the mechanic work in '52 entered college, became a minister of the Gospel. My hobby was restoring old cars, from Model A to Mustangs. and T-birds. Why not build an inexpensive auto similar to the Model A with a low compression engine that is easy to overhaul or replace, for those who can and do their own car care. This would fill the bill for those who only drive locally, and don't need luxury. Reply
